It's as fast as DSL for the price of DSL? Well, it should be.

Why do you pay extra for AOL? If you have an Internet connection with
Earthlink, you can use IE and OE without the added expense.

Since it is so fast, why don't you visit Windows Updates and download the
75+ updates that are waiting for you. Or at the very least, the critical
ones. You are running a very old and less secure version of IE and OE. You
are vulnerable regardless of how you connect.

No monthly charge at all? I still don't see the point if you want to access
your mail through OE. Actually, I still can't see the point of AOL period.

Now pull the other one!

PS: Don't complain if Windows Update doesn't work!

I agree. Almost On Line was the poorest choice ever.
However a free AOL address is handy as a throw-away address for buying and/or subscriptions on the
net. You can just decide to ignore it if the spam get bad. I would never access it through OE,
just the web.

How do you tell about the updates available. I assume it is the
information in the header. I have the same info as he does in "about
OE" except for some more abouty SP2

I regularly receive the automated updates from microsoft. How do I
tell if I have the latest updates
