Default License Transfer to new PC

My sister has Office 2003 installed on a laptop, activated product there. She wants to install it on a newer machine. How can this be done legally? Is there a product activation file which needs to be transferred? The old laptop is being destroyed.

Thanks in advance for considering a reply.

Read the EULA - mine says one could install on one computer and one laptop
for primary use of the owner.
