use of Data1 field
Can you tell how Data1 field is used under Format, Special options in Visio.
I am trying to link milestone data held in Excel with a Visio (time line) view I have. Is there a way of linking the data in Excel to Visio so that the timeline is automatically updated when the milestone data changes? Thanks, jen

You can access the value of these fields by using VBA ShpObj.Data1 = "Some text" John... Visio MVP

In my experience most of the work done in the timeline addin is accomplished
