Default Can't open JPEG attachments

Bruce, I did as you said and click the "always use" box. But when I remove
the jpg from my computer and go back to my email it will not open it. Or if
someone sends me a email with an jpg or gif attachment it will not open until
I save the attachment first. Before I used to click on the attachment and it
would open automatically without saving it.
Sorry to be such a pain in the butt and i hope I am explaining this in the
correct manner.

Default Can't open JPEG attachments

(For PA Bear's question) In IE | Help | About will show your IE version.

Clear your TIFs and try.

For IE6:

Clear the Temporary Internet Files: In IE | Tools | Internet Options |
Delete Files button. And check the box to Delete Offline content.

For IE7:

Tools | Internet Options | General Tab | Browsing History | Delete Temporary
Internet Files.

Default Can't open JPEG attachments

Bruce, SUCCESS!! I cleared the TIF's as you suggested and now I can open my
email attachments without first saving them.
I am using IE 8.
I typed %temp% in the address bar and hit Enter, then I deleted all those
files.
Thanks Again for hanging with me and not giving up.
Sorry, for being somewhat computer dense.
Best Regards, George

Bruce, sorry, I'm not sure it I understand what you mean by HDD.
I
can't
find
a box that says "Always". Could you please elaborate. Sorry, i am
not
so
computer literate.
When I save the attachment on my desk top and then click on it,
it
opens
with windows picture and fax viewer, which is what I want.
I hope this helps.

When you save it as an attachment, what program does it open
with?

Save the attachment to your HDD. Right click on it and Open
With
|
Choose
Program. Find and choose a program that works and then check
the
box:
Always
use this program to open this kind of file. This should
enable
you
to
open
these attachments in the future.

All of a sudden, my Outlook Express email will not open
.jpg
attachments.
It
will open adobe, .pps, .wmv and others, though. I can save
the
attachment
and
then open it, but it used to open as soon as I clicked on
the
attachment.
Can someone help, Thank You,
