Default Creating a New Identity

If "drybones" identity is corrupted and it is 'my' signature name for many
years; how then would I go about re-creating "drybones"?

I have tried deleting the name and from, Tools / Accounts / Mail and of
course charter.net. Then closing Tools/ Accounts and O.E. 6; reopening
and assigning the (new ?) drybones at charter.net.

O.E. continues to stop the 'Insertion' of .jpg or .gif images into the body
of any e-mail message I wish to send.

Anyone assist these very old and drybones?

File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is
well, you can import your messages from the old identity and delete it. You
can rename it anything you want if need be after the old ID is deleted.

You don't need to do anything at your ISP.

Creating a new identity doesn't necessarily mean creating a new e-mail
address (although it can be used for that). When you suspect that the
OE identity is corrupted (could be data files and/or registry), creating
a new OE identity is one way to test that. In that case, in the new
identity you create the same mail account that you were using in the
corrupted identity. If that works OK, you can then try importing the
mail from your old identity.
