Default Question

I hope that this is the right discussion group to post this question. (If
not, can you please direct me to the correct one).

I was given an email address ending in ". The question is
why when I visit www.www.staroneuk.com it doesn't appear to be a proper
domain home page, so would this be a valid email address? The reason I ask
is, for example, when you receive a @hotmail.com email address, you can
visit www.hotmail.com and there is a domain home page.

I hope this makes sense.

Thank you

Default Question

It could be, you don't have to have a website to have a domain for hosting a
mail service.

The page you are seeing is a default "Parking" page put there by the host -
and whoever purchased the service just hasn't done anything with it yet.

To use the mail service you will probably need to know their POP3 server
name and your ISP's SMTP server name, whoever gave you the mailbox should be
able to give you those details.

My Web page is www.fjsmjs.com
If you click on one of my mailto links you'll start a message to
. My wife has links with a different address.
Many Web page hosts allow their customers to set up email accounts for their
pages. I could set up an account for you on that domain but you wouldn't
like the cost.
