Parameter for uninstallation of Groove
Hi all,
I have deployed Office Enterprise 2007 at work and now I need to remove Groove from everyone's machine. We use System Center Essentials, so I'd like to do this automatically. The folks over at the SCE forum told me to come here to ask for the correct parameter for Office's Setup.exe to uninstall Groove. I want the remainder of the Office installation to stay completely unaffected - we just want to get rid of Groove. Many thanks, Jake. |

Parameter for uninstallation of Groove
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your reply, but I'm actually just looking for the command line parameter/switch to use with the Office 'Setup.exe' to uninstall Groove. Our network, servers, OS and group policy settings should not be relevant because the Office setup file is the same regardless of the environment. The question is, does the Office setup executable have such a switch, and if so what is it. It seems that in the mean time I have found another solution. The Office Setup.exe appears to be a wrapper for multiple MSI files - one for each component of Office. Therefore I will just use the Groove MSI file to uninstall Groove by deploying it through System Center Essentials with the "Approved for uninstall" option. Thanks, Jake.
