Default Info missing on meeting requests when user does "edit response"

Has anyone seen an instance where it is not possible to see a user's
response to a meeting request? It's the e-mail that gets sent back
when the recipient chooses "edit details before sending." The e-mail
arrives with the acceptance but the additional notes she added are
not
there -- just blank.

The problem seems only to occur when meeting requests are initiated
by
Outlook in an Exchange environment and the respondent is using a
stand-
alone Outlook calendar with a POP mail account. If the POP person
initiates the meeting to Exchange all the details go back and forth
just fine.
