Default Sizing photos to fit slide

When I created my presentation...I chose create photo gallery.
All my images are 8x12 full res shots. I chose to "fit to slide".

When you view the slide show....there is a white border on each slide.

I have tried to play with sizing (cropping in PP)....but can't get full frame
coverage. The presentation requires full screen view....without any borders.

??? How do i fix quickly!!

Hi "onesickpuppy",

Hope this makes you feel better:

If you wish the picture to fill the slide and retain the Aspect Ratio then
click INSERT | NEW SLIDE | FORMAT | BACKGROUND | click on the arrow for the
drop-down menu | select FILL EFFECTS | PICTURE tab | click SELECT PICTURE |
click on name of desired picture| INSERT | check "Lock Aspect Ratio" | OK |
APPLY.

I use PowerPoint 2002. The above refers to creating a slide show.

Assuming you have slides in 4:3 (12:9) format then 12:8 pictures are not
going to fit without distortion or a border somewhere.
