Shortcut Toolbar Error

Have run 2000 Sm Business Shortcut Toolbar for looonnng time. Had
serious problem with unwanted IE browser but with assist from IE8
support situation corrected and have reverted to IE6.

However, am now receiving error window telling me Office 2000 has a
problem and must close (only toolbar open). Closing the error window
results in loss of toolbar from top of display and I must access
Programs/Office/MS Shortcut Toolbar to reestablish the bar. It will
remain for a period and then the sequence is repeated.

Did a Repair on Office at Control Panel/Add and Remove but apparently
not successful as original problem repeating.

Toolbar important for legally blind wife to access Write Message icon
placed at top right of display (she retains a bit of peripheral and can
find that location on screen).
