Default Merging Contacts Lists

I have 5 separate but overlapping Contact lists under My Contacts in Outlook.
How can I merge/combine them into one?
Thank you

Open each one, select all, drag to the one preferred contact folder. Then
use a duplicate remover to delete duplicates.

I can't seem to do it.
In Outlook the Contact lists will not drag from one to another!?
They only change place...
What am I doing wrong?
Have been trying for a good part of the afternoon!

Milly has already posted the correct method for moving Contacts from one
folder to another. Apparently you need to do something else.
Start at the beginning. You use the term "Contact Lists." That term means
nothing to us. Outlook uses no such term. Define what you mean by it.
Describe in detail what you are doing and what isn't happening that you
think should.
