The Doc Map assigned outline levels to those paragraphs in your document.
(TOCs pick up outline levels) Using the ResetPara command will take away all the direct formatting, including the outline levels that the DocMap just added. If no one gives you the keystroke in a later message, you can dig it out of Tools | Customize. But if you use Reset Para on your entire document (rather than per paragraph), it will also remove any direct paragraph formatting that you applied, so probably better to use on the wrong paragraphs individually. The shortcut for ResetPara is Ctrl+Q.
If you don't want to remove all manual paragraph formatting, you can selectively set back the outline levels that Document Map has messed with: Dim myPara As Paragraph For Each myPara In ActiveDocument.Paragraphs myPara.OutlineLevel = _ myPara.style.ParagraphFormat.OutlineLevel Next myPara For help with macros, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/CreateAMacro.htm Regards, Klaus "Dayo Mitchell" wrote: The Doc Map assigned outline levels to those paragraphs in your document.
