Word and Publisher file exchange - Need Help
I know there is a word file import function in publisher;
however, when you do this there are two problems which I have been unable to figure out. First, if you import Word file text and then attempt to save the file you've created, it will only save as a Publisher file. So, if you wanted to send this file using the nice formats of Publisher as a Word file, you cannot? Most people use Word, but not Publisher. Second, if you use the Letterhead creation function within Publisher, and you like to format you've created and save it, I have not been able to figure out how to export that Letterhead as a Word file to use as a Word-based Letterhead file/template. Am I not doing something right, or is Publisher and Word incompatible for these goals? |

You are correct. If you create the letterhead in Publisher, it is a
Publisher file. If you want a pretty letterhead in Word, create the pretty part in a graphics program and import it into Word. I guess I just don't understand why people insist on using Word and Publisher interchangeably. Yes, they can do similar things but they ARE two separate programs. Use the proper program for the job. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Paul" wrote in message ... JLP/A go back to bed sigh STOP BLOODY ANSWERING QUESTIONS YOU HAVE NO
IDEA ABOUT!!! What you do in Publisher, is select the objects that make up the letterhead, and copy them to the clipboard. Then go to menu Edit and select Paste Special Paste as Picture. You then copy that picture you just pasted to the clipboard, and then paste it into Word and save it is a Word Template file. -- "If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there!" |

No, I was raised not to use bad words in public. My mom taught me manners,
unlike yours. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "°°°MS°Publisher°°°" wrote in message ... What is a$$ Are you that poorly educated you cannot spell correctly? -- "If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there!" |

JLA you are one of the most ill mannered cows I have come across.
You do not even understand the word 'decorum'. Oh well, I suppose it was a female like you who committed all those disgusting and inhumane actions on those Iraq prisoners. -- "If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there!" |
