Can't get Options to Stick
I'm using Word XP. I like to set the Options to turn off most of the
bells and whistles. My options aren't sticking. They used to stick. I recall that Acrobat once interfered with Word 2000 in that fashion. Acrobat doesn't seem to be the culprit here -- Word & Acrobat have been playing nicely lately. But -- I installed LexisNexis Citation Tools (an add-in with its own toolbar), and wonder if that can be interfering? Short of uninstsalling the Citation Tools, what can I do to get the Options to stick? Is there a tweak or reg hack that will let me use both? I use Word for legal documents. *((( ~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

If that add-in is in your Word (or Office) startup folder it will always
start with Word. If you want to use it only as required, move it to another folder then add it to tools templates and add-ins from that folder, then uncheck it until required. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org *((( wrote: Ooooh, what a great idea! Yes, the add-in starts every time. I've been looking for the Word Startup
folder. I searched Startup in Documents & Settings. No joy. Can you tell me where it might be hiding? -- *((( ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Graham Mayor" wrote in message ...
