Is there a way to compare text in two cells to see if they are similar (the
pairs of cells may be similar in different ways e.g. to include
misspellings)?

Thanks

Andrew.

Excel can only tell you if the cells are identical or not. Beyond that
you'd have to precisely define your rules of what constitutes "similar" and
then implement them in formulas or macros. Not a trivial exercise I'd say.
