I don't think that you can move message stores just by deleting and moving
dbx files.

Just double checked and it is definitely there.



Which one though, the old one or a new one? How big is it?
Browse it in Notepad. Are your missing newsgroups listed in it?
If you haven't refreshed the list and inhibit that action that would
explain the symptom.


It's the old one. I deleted all the files from the store folder on the new
machine before I transferred the files from the old machine. I will look
at the contents in Notepad and double check that the newsgroups are
listed.

no you can't. You have to include the registry settings.
