Default Error: 412 Unable to retrieve all headers

When I started OE this morning, it will not retrieve messages or
headers from any newsgroup. When I click on a subscribed newsgroup, I
get an error "Outlook Express was unable to retrieve all the headers .
.. . . " It shows the number of new messages but will not retrieve any
headers for new messages. Further, OE will not retrieve any messages
from newsgroups -- when I click on an old message, it says "Message
cannot be displayed."

E-mail is working fine.

What's going on and how do I fix it?

Thanks.

Try setting up a second account to the same newsserver and see if that =
fixes it. Or set up a new Identity and add the newsserver account and =
see if that works there. Are you dialed up to the ISP that provides the =
newsserver? If not, that could be the problem.
