Default Automatic filling of form fields

In the Northwind sample database, there is a form for new orders. Once the
customer's name is selected from a drop-down list, the rest of the customer's
details are sought and displayed automatically in the remaining fields.

How is that done? I'm a novice.

Many thanks

I havent looked a northwind since ...well i dont even remember - long
ago

not sure about the specific case, but a quick way of implementing this
is to place the combo box in the form header. then use the after_update
event of the combo box to trigger something like this:

me.fileter = "customer_name = '" & me.cmbCustomer.value & "'"
me.filteron = true
me.requery
