Default #REF! after cut and paste XL2K

I have a reference in sheet2 to a list of cells in sheet1.
Everytime I paste numbers into the referenced cell of
sheet1, sheet2 gives me the #REF! error. MSExcel help says
the fix is to hit the undo button, but that is not an
option. I want to be able to paste values into sheet1 and
have the reference in sheet2 update its value. Is this
easily possible? The formula that I'm using in sheet2 is
='sheet1'!D8

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The only formula that I'm using in sheet2 is the
reference: ='sheet1'!D8
sheet2 has only 1 column that references a column in
sheet1 of 150 numbers. Now this works as long as I'm
typing the numbers into the column on sheet1. As soon as,
I start pasting numbers into the same column in sheet1, I
start getting the #REF! errors in sheet2.

Can you do a copy|paste instead of Cut|paste? Then go back and clean up your
original range.
