Default outlook won't open w/o frontpage and it can't be found

Installed Outlook from enterprise disk and can't get it to open correctly.
Ran the repair option and no change.

When opening, it repeatedly asks (8-10 times) to install an unnamed addon.
The cancel button is ignored and repeatedly re-asked. At some points,
Frontpage seems to be involved, but not named in the install addon question
and ignored response.

Did you uninstall previous versions of Office applications you don't need
anymore prior to installing Outlook?
Which version of Office are we talking about here anyway?
Instead of cancelling the installer have it let its way. There is obviously
something that needs a repair.

Default outlook won't open w/o frontpage and it can't be found

I installed the Enterprize Office 2007. I let the installation process run
per the normal procedure. Is the installation of Office wrong and it won't
install correctly? I ran the repair function from the disk.

I did try to let the installation of the unnamed addon happen, but it kept
telling me that 1) some "F" drive needed a file and 2) it woudln't accept the
installation disk in the "E" drive. It wanted a file that search failed to
find on the disk. While it couldn't find the file, you can't fault it for
not trying. No matter how many times you say "cancel", it just keeps asking
time and again. Rather tenatious little program.

Any help getting this thing to work without the 8-10 attempts to install an
unnamed addon is GREATLY appreciated.

Start Outlook in Safe Mode and see which addins are installed. Then disable
them all and see if it still happens.

I opened it in safe mode. First question was do I want to "install the add"
in or on.

Then I got an "Error 1706" with a title of "Microsoft Office XP Professional
with FrontPage".

Halted is a display box "Please wait while Windows configures ..."
Then the search for the product box opens with "K:\..." as the default.
It's looking for "proplus.msi" which isn't on the install disk (which is in
"E").

At this point I will be clicking cancel for the next 3-4 minutes as it never
stops trying to install it until you are beat down. Eventually it will stop
and I can get my email.

Should I just uninstall Outlook and use Outlook Express? Is there any
possibility of Outlook working?

No, your issue is with FrontPage 2002. You must put in that CD when prompted
and not the CD of Office 2007.

Guess I'm in real trouble. I don't have FrontPage. It's not listed in my
Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs list. I haven't used it ever on this
machine and the last time I did use it was in about 95 on a machine I haven't
had for years.

How, if there is anyway, can I get around Outlook trying to install an
unnamed add-on, perhaps FrontPage, when I don't have it? This 3-4 minutes of
clicking "Cancel" every time I want to check my email is a problem.

I had thought for a while that Office Enterprise 2007 might have been trying
to sneak FrontPage on my machine, but it doesn't list that program.

FrontPage doesn't exist anymore ;-)
You don't have any reference to any older version of Office in your
Add/Remove Programs list whatsoever?
You can use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility;

Can't use the cleanup as it says it won't work right with 2007 products.

I did have a prior version of Office before I bought this one. Do I have
any way of not losing everything for Outlook to realize I don't and never
have had FrontPage? If FrontPage doesn't exist, why is Outlook trying to
install it?

Thanks for your time.
