"mail client cannot fulfill msg request"
I've set Outlook as my default and it appears to work - except that every 30
second this message pops up: Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as your default mail client. |

"mail client cannot fulfill msg request"
Thanks for responding. The version pops up when I run Office Outlook 2007
for Vista (brand new to me). This screen pops up when I start the program and then seemingly continuously thereafter; I'll close the box and it will pop up immediately again; I'll close that second one and it will be maybe 2 min before it pops up again. It's been doing it all day and I haven't detected a pattern, because I can close the program entirely and it still pops up with the message. I went to my defaults and made sure to set them all with Outlook, no luck. It doesn't appear to affect the ability of Outlook to send/receive mail (or if it has, I haven't detected it), but it's very very annoying. Transfered in what way? If you over written the existing pst-file you have
corrupted your mail profile and need to recreate it. To do so see; http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more ----- "Caron" wrote in message ... "mail client cannot fulfill msg request"
This is interesting....I closed Outlook after doing the routine you
suggested. Restarted it - and closed it again. Now when I look at the folder with the PST files in in - my original file (Created on 5/5) and the new one (Created 5/8) both were modified at the same time - in otherwords Outlook is opening both files? Does this make any sense? I'm still getting the message btw. I also tried to do a mail merge from Outlook to Word 2007 and it wouldn't merge to an label - just an envelope - what is that about. I'm not a happy camper with Vista and Office 2007 - you'd think they'd work together. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks "JRO Mtn Group" wrote: OK - i was hopeful - i followed the instructions to the letter - I created a new profile in Control Panel-mail Then I configured Outlook 2007 to use the new profile and had it deliver emails to the old PST - set as default Restart. have NOT removed the empty PST file Still get the same message from Outlook Any more ideas?
