Outlook Express
I am not sure what I have done but I was trying to back up
my dbx files. When I opened one the pop up box came up and asked what program to open with. I ticked microsoft outlook and then when I went into the dbx files the icons had all changed to the microsoft outlook icon and the messages I had in my inbox are no longer there. How do I get these back? I want to back them up and put them onto my new computer which is operating XP. My current op system is Windows 2000. Hope someone can help. |

Outlook Express
Repeat the process and this time select the proper program (i.e., Outlook
Express or msimn.exe which is the executable for the program). Just Shift+Right click on a DBX file in your message store folder and choose "Open With" vs. "Open" and set it to Outlook Express and put a check in the box at the bottom to always use that program....... -- Jim Pickering, MVP-Outlook Express Please reply only to newsgroup.
