Default Outlook 2003 "News" Menu Item Disappeared - How Can I Get It Back?

Greetings,

Recently, I added the "News" menu item to OutLook 2003 via its customization
facility and then added the button to the toolbar. When I closed the
program down and then re-ran it later, I noticed that the button on the
toolbar was missing. I went to add it and noticed that the menu item was
gone as well.

I then looked in the section with all of the commands to add to the menu
(from which I originally added the "News" item to the menus) and found that
the "News" item was also gone from that section. I now have no way to go
directly to the newsgroups from within Outlook 2003.

I've tried their recovery method and it didn't work (although it cleared out
all of my email accounts).

How can I correct this?

Rick

Default

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.
