Default Update Kanji Char in SQL Database from Access returns question mar

I'm trying to update a SQL database from ms access. There is a a lot of
Japanese data in kanji. I've imported the data into Access from Excel and it
looks fine.

When I do an update query in Access to the MS SQL db via ODBC, much of the
data becomes question marks.

All driver versions I could think of are listed below.

This is all being done on a Japanese workstation to a Japanese server.

Do I have to make any special configurations? Is there anything I can do?

Thanks.

Stuart
