Tip: It might /not/ work for the Hotmail account in the very near future,
Stef. MSN/Hotmail's going to be rolling out some mail server changes very soon. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) stef wrote: looks good! does it work? how complex is it to install it for yahoo and hotmail? You can't "pop3" it. Because it is html.
However, it is trivial to configure to read/write your hotmail in OE. OE | Tools | Accounts | Mail | Add | Mail | Fill out all the blanks, and viola! You've got OE hotmail. Yes, even the free hotmail. I just tested that too. -Frank "stef" wrote in message ... follow-up to: microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress is it possible AT ALL to pop3 my hotmail account (free account, not premium, etc.) as an alternative, i hear pop peeper does that job. any comments? tx -- |

They're pretty responsive to changes (one of the latest, mentioned on the
home page, refers to live.com). It does sometimes require a little care and feeding, but the forum has all the information you need: http://freepops.diludovico.it/freepops-english/ "stef" wrote in message ... u mean the "live" thing, etc.? u can always use it in the meantime if it works.... -- PA Bear wrote: Tip: It might not work for the Hotmail account in the very near future, Stef. That won't work for free accounts unless you have an older, grandfathered
account that you've been using this way all along. FreePOPs does effectively give you POP3 and works with any kind of account. "Frankster" wrote in message news You can't "pop3" it. btw, i just read that u still have to use your ISP's smtp server as
freepops only takes care of the pop side not the sending of messages. is that true? -- Milhouse Van Houten wrote: They're pretty responsive to changes (one of the latest, mentioned on the home page, refers to live.com).
