Default Excel Printing

In lotus, a print button could be defined on each
spreadsheet within a file. So when I wanted to just print
spreadsheet "A" I would click on the "print" button and
only "A" would print. When I would be in spreadsheet "B",
I would click on that "print" button and only
spreadsheet "B" would print. I would not have to set the
print range each time I wanted to print. Can this be
done in Excel also?

Actually, what you're asking, XL does automatically, once you set the print
area for each individual sheet.
There's actually more steps involved to*not* print the individual sheet's
print area.
The default print instruction is to print the active sheet, and once you set
the print areas for all your sheets and save the WB, all you have to do is
click on the "Print" icon on the tool bar.

This "Print" icon is what you have to take note of.
There are 2 of them, and though they look exactly alike, their actions are
slightly different.
The first one does exactly the same action as if you did a File Print
from the Menu Bar, which opens the Print dialog window, where printers and
their settings can be modified
The second one will print immediately with the preset printer and the preset
sheet parameters. This is the one you would want to have on your tool bar.
This one also will display the active printer if you hover the cursor over
it before clicking.

This second one may already be on your toolbar, but if it isn't,
Right click in the tool bar and choose "Customize".
In the "Commands" tab, click on "File" and then scroll down in the commands
window until you see the 2 Print icons.
Click on the second one and drag it to the toolbar.
If you would click on "Descriptions", you would get identical ones for both.
I guess MS didn't care to elaborate.
