Default Can not open any graphics attachment in OE6

I have recently installed IE7 and it works OK. But it appears that it MAY
have caused my OE6 not to link to my graphics software - MS Photodraw V2 or
MS Photo Editor. Until the last few weeks, I never had a problem opening any
graphics attachment. I now get the message 'This file does not have a program
associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the
Folders Option Control Panel'. I go to the FOCP and select - gif, jpg, etc.
Make the selection, Tten I process the graphics again and the same thing
happens.

Don't know what to do. Appreciate any help.

Save the attachment to your HDD. Right click on it and Open With. Find and
choose a program that works and then check the box: Always use this program
to open this kind of file. This should enable you to open these attachments
in the future.

You can reset graphic files to the defaults:

Go to Start | Run

Regedit

and then navigate to the keys for jpg and jpeg.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg

Under this key should be a

(Default) "jpegfile"
Content Type "image/jpeg"

Do the same for jpeg and also for

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gif

(Default) "giffile"
Content Type "image/gif"

For added info about file associations, see Mike Santovec's website:
