Do you have Norton? Disable "script blocking", under options, disable "Office
plug-ins". Try double-clicking the file. Or right-click, properties, opens with... change and point to Publisher. -- Mary Sauer MS MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://www.mvps.org/msauer/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "S Fleming" wrote in message ... I did the disable script blocking and disable office
plugins under Norton. After doing so...I tried double- clicking the file and also right clicked etc under properties to open. Still same message..."Cannot open files from a different version of Publisher" Is there any type of conversion program that I can use to convert all of my files? Thank you for you help so far! -----Original Message----- Do you have Norton? Disable "script blocking", under options, disable "Office plug-ins". Try double-clicking the file. Fleming, How many files are we talking about? Can you use zip? I will convert them
for you if you send them my way. I have broadband so the size isn't any problem on my end. Remove "my" to reply. -- Mary Sauer MS MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://www.mvps.org/msauer/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "fleming" wrote in message ... I received only 1 file unzipped. Unfortunately it was not
the important ones. My internet server went down and I couldn't send the others fast enough. Can you still unzip them for me? If not, can I install my Publisher 98 twice on the same computer and have 2 versions of the same program working? Any other alternatives? I really need these files usable. -----Original Message----- Fleming, How many files are we talking about? Can you use zip? I will convert them for you if you send them my way. I sent all the files back to you. It was 5 MB zipped, which you said was the limit.
Do you want me to break them down into smaller zips. What are the most important ones? -- Mary Sauer MS MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://www.mvps.org/msauer/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "s fleming" wrote in message ... That 5 mb file was great. I received all of those and can
access them. But, I sent other emails with files that needed to be unzipped. I had to break all my needed files into separate emails because my server was sending them too slow and rejecting them. May I send them again. I tried to send them to your email address but I believe my name has been rejected for some reason. Sheree -----Original Message----- I sent all the files back to you. Sure, send them again... Use gsauer at columbus.rr.com or msauer at mvps.org
It would help to break them up in smaller files... -- Mary Sauer MS MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://www.mvps.org/msauer/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "fleming" wrote in message ...
