Default Unable to accept a outlook appointment

a user is trying to accept an outlook appointment but she gets an Error
Message "Mr. X has already declined this appointment. Do you still want to
accept?". this meeting has not been declined as others have accepted this
meeting and its on-going. we have Exchange 2003 server and user's use windows
XP SP2 with Outlook 2003 SP2.

I am going to try to see if i can make them uncheck cached exchange mode to
see if that help.

If others have seen this problem please let me know how i can resolve this .

It may be that that Mr. X is throwing away or filing his invitations before the delegate has accepted them. Sometimes this turns up as a "decline" even though he didn't actually click "decline."
