Default How to recover outlook.pst and addressbook in outlook 2000 after I re-install.

Hey,

I had problem with a XP system that I have, and had to re-install it on top
of itself, and when I did, it goofed up all my office 2000 programs and I
had trouble installing it till I got a Windows clean-up ultity and had to
remove office and reinstall it. Now here's the problem. When I re-ran
outlook 2000, it forgot all my e-mail settings and forgot where the
outlook.pst was, so I had to re-enter the info, and now when I got into
outlook the inbox was blank, and so I thought I would do a file - import of
the outlook.pst that I had used before, but when I did that it created it
another set of folders above, like inbox,
and sent box, etc..

So my question is, what's the best way to make current or old .pst the MAIN
..pst where all the new e-mail will arrive in, and also what's the best way
re-enter mail after a re-install?

It's a lot safer to NOT use the Import function, it often causes profile
corruption:
