Default Printing a poster

Hi:

I can't print a poster from publisher to an HP Desginjet 500. I can print a
test page or another document to that printer, but the poster spools, says it
printed, but it doesn't print. I have powered down both units and the driver
is current. Any other ideas?

TIA,

What version Publisher? How big is the banner?
This article addresses problems Publisher has with Design Jet large format
setup. You might get help. Look at your spooler options, change some settings.
Right-click your printer in the printer folder, properties, advanced tab.

UpNorth was very recently heard to
utter:

What version of Publisher are you using?

How large is the file (both bytes-wise and centimetres-wise)? Does it
contain any particularly large (both ways) images?

I have publisher 2003. I tried the steps in the KB article, but I still have
the same problem. I can print a poster that has been saved in Microsoft
viewer. This is a 36 x 42 Poster. I stopped and started the spooler service
and I still can't print from Publisher.

Maybe you should visit HP. I'd look around for you, but you need a password and
other information in the Design Jet support area.

Hi Mary:

I went to HP and their advice was the same as yours. However, if I save the
poster as a JPEG it prints fine. The user said that's just fine.

Thank you so much for your help.
