Default Copying from one pub to another, different size when pasted

Can anyone tell me how to make my copy from one publication to another the
same size as the original. I seem to have about an inch of unwanted space
at the bottom of the new publication. I then have to resize everything on
the page to adjust like the original.
Any help would be appreciated.

Usually when you copy/paste you are transferring just the objects. Draw a
rectangle around the original, select all, copy/paste. Delete the rectangle.
