The connection to Microsoft exchange server is unavailable
Hi, I've been having some problems setting up outlook 2007, I recently
followed a guide on setting up my email address on outlook 2007, but after following the instructions and opening outlook I receive this message "The connection to Microsoft exchange server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." It then asks me for my Microsoft exchange server and mailbox information. I then proceed to check name and it says "the name cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." Then it goes on to tell me the file i need to open is not an offline file. Now my email account is an online uni email account and so other posts with similar problems don't help me with the solution. How do i turn outlook online? |

If you don't connect to a Microsoft Exchange server for e-mail and are only
working with an ISP's POP3/IMAP server, remove this account type from your Outlook setup. You can do this via the mail applet in the control panel. "Pedro" wrote in message ... How do I find the mail applet in the control panel? I am having the same
issue with Outlook 2007.
