Outook "Look For" cache
How do I clear the Outlook "Look For" cache? It doesn't seem to be kept in
either of these two locations: %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook And in particular, it is not kept in Outlook.NK2 either. I've Outlook 2003 running in cache exchange mode with Exchange 2007. Thanks, --- Bob |

Outook "Look For" cache
Hi Bob,
It is additional information from Milly's reply. The 'Look for' cache is stored in the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\O utlook\Contact\StripSearchMRU. We can follow the steps below to clear the Outlook "Look For" cache. 1. Click Start Run type regedit, click OK. 2. Locate the following registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\O utlook\Contact\StripSearchMRU. 3. In the right pane, right click the entry StripSearchMRU and choose Delete to delete it. 4. Restart Outlook. It will clear the Outlook 'Look For' cache. 5. If you type other things in the 'look for' field, it will recreate the registry entry StripSearchMRU to store the cache. If anything is unclear or if you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
