Converting CAD to VISIO

i am having major problems converting a CAD drawing to a
Visio drawing. the reason i want to do this is i have a
layout of a shop floor and i need to be able to move sofas
etc around. i cannot do this as the image is all one
image. i need to convert this like i have done before.
there is no convert option is Visio 2000. But i have used
Visio 2002 but when i do convert it, it spits the objects
inside the image to outside and the whole drawing is
messed up.

any help appreciated

Can you email me a copy of your CAD file so I can test it firsthand? Just
strip the underscores from my email address.

thanks for the offer, but the drawing would be too big to
send plus it is not really my property to send as i am
testing it for someone else.
But any advice you have would be helpful so i could test
it myself.
