Default word 2007 - Default to save as .doc instead of .docx

Hello

I am deploying office 2007. I'd like my users to be abe to save as a .doc
instead of .docx in word as the default.

I think that the XML file format is a great idea, but until it is widely
adopted, I believe it will cause a great deal of confusion in my user base.

thanks

Hello jereviscious,

I am assuming you are deploying using a .msp.

If so.. in the OCT modify the following setting in the "modify user
settings" page

Microsoft Office Word 2007\Word Options\Save\
on the right side modify/edit "Save files in this format" to be enabled and
choose .doc.

Thanks Eric.

I found out that it will be pre-installed, so I won't be doing a deployment.
, so, I need to know how to do it after it's installed...

Thanks again.

Ok..

After it's installed.
Open word
click on the office button/word options/save/
change "save files in this format" to .doc.
