My school is making a power point presentation for 5th
grade orientations into the middle school. My principle
asked me if i could find out for him if he can add
animations. Im almost possitive you can, but I dont have
the program to find out how. Can anybody please reply(do
not e-mail) to this and include instructions on how to
add and/or make animations and then include them into the
presentation. Please do not tell me how to use Windows
Media Player to incorporate movies(i know this already).

Vin,

It really depends on what your principal wants to do. PowerPoint is very good at animating text (bringing bulleted points in line by line for example) as well as bringing objects onto the screen one at a time. Newer versions of PowerPoint can do some fancier things with animations. You might want to check out the following PowerPoint that demonstrates some fancier animation techniques:

http://office.microsoft.com/download...imtechnqs.aspx

But chances are that your principal wants some of the simpler stuff that can be done by selecting an object and using Custom Animation from the Slide Show menu. By the way, the details of how to do animation depnd on which version you are using. PowerPoint 2002 changed the way animation works, so it is very different from how animation works in earlier versions.

David:

Is this download for a tutorial about animating features in Powerpoint 2000?
Or is this an addition that works with Powerpoint 2000.
And is it useful to someone who has Powerpoint 2003?

Thank you
Patricia

I haven't looked at it in a while, but as I recall, it is a combination
PowerPoint presentation and mini-tutorial. That is, it uses some tricks
and describes how to do them. As far as working in 2003, the tricks
should work fine, but some of them might be easier to do in other ways
with some of the new animation features that were introduced in
PowerPoint 2002.
