Constant Error Message when Outlook is opened
I have a recurring problem when opening Outlook. I am running Windows XP
Home Edition. Every time I open Outlook, 4 reminders pop up. When I try to dismiss them, I get the window ‘Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence information for reminder’. I have read earlier posts, and have tried to find the .pst files to fix them. I was unable to run outlook.exe/cleaneminders, getting the error message "Windows cannot find 'outlook.exe/cleanreminders'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." I also just tried to search for .pst files on the computer, but it couldn't find any. Can anyone help me? |

Put a space between Outlook.EXE and /cleanreminders. See if that works
better. "Mary Beth" wrote in message ... I have a recurring problem when opening Outlook. I am running Windows XP Home Edition. Every time I open Outlook, 4 reminders pop up. Did you close outlook and verify it was closed (task manager, processes tab)
before reopening it using the switch? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: "Mary Beth" wrote in message ... Is Outlook (and Office) installed in the default location? For Office 2007

Out of curiosity, did it get rid of the error message about the program not
being found? "Mary Beth" wrote in message ... Tried this - did not solve the problem. |
