Default Border Setting in Excel 2007

When I click my border button for "All Borders" or anything else in this
particular spreadsheet, it turns my borders grey instead of black. I've
copied this spreadsheet from someone else's old one so I guess there could be
some hidden setting, but I can't get it back to black. I can go into cell
formatting and force it black, but if I choos Automatic, it goes grey or if I
simply click the border icon it turns grey instead of black. Help
