I have a column with six numbers. I made them to be text.
Now I want to separate the whole column into 2 columns one with the first three numbers & one with the second three numbers. (Eventually I want to sort the whole file by the second set of three numbers) Is there a way to do it? |

Hi
one way: use the two formulas =LEFT(A1,3) and =RIGHT(A1,3) and copy both formulas down You may also take a look at 'data - Text to columns' and choose a fixed length -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany wrote: I have a column with six numbers.
