Hello walt
In error 1311 we need the whole error message but as peter suggested we need to remove the previous version of office and i will suggest you to download and install "Windows installer clean up utility" and then use WICU to locate and remove the previous version. And if it does not work we need to copy and save office 2007 onthe hard drive and then install office 2007.
