Default Installing Microsoft Office 2003 on Vista

I'm running Vista Premium Home Edition, 64 bit. The Vista Compatibility
Center says that I should be able to run Office 2003. But when I try to run
the installation from the CD, nothing happens. Please advise.

Do you mean the installation screen doesnt open automatically after
inserting the 1st cd?
And if you launch the setup file via explorer what occurs?
And if you insert another known functioning cd, does that fail also?
You have uninstalled any trial version of Office & its Activation wizard,
then rebooted
