Sort and Group Model(s) w/a Total of Each
Hello,
I am using MS-Access 2003. I have constructed a db to take inventory of ALL the desktops in a company. I have identified at least 6 different models (GX1, GX150, GX260, GX270, GX280 and GX620). I have used surveys to identify the User, Dept, Model and current operating system (OS). I have grouped and sorted the User, Dept, Model and OS. What I am asking is, "how-to" do the following: User: Dept: Model: OS: Bozo Bat Cave GX1 Windows 2000 Batman Bat Cave GX260 Windows 2000 Robin Bat Cave GX260 Windows 2000 Joker Bat Cave GX260 Windows 2000 Superman Bat Cave GX270 Windows 2000 JohnnyStorm Bat Cave GX270 Windows 2000 Tarzan Bat Cave GX280 Windows XP Total # of GX1s 1 Total # of GX260s 3 Total # of GX270s 2 Total # of GX280s 1 Total This Dept 7 Can/will someone point me to some examples/sample??? Thank you, Charles L. Phillips |

Sort and Group Model(s) w/a Total of Each
To produce this:
Total # of GX1s 1 Total # of GX260s 3 Total # of GX270s 2 Total # of GX280s 1 Create text boxes in the department footer section. Your textbox source will look like: =sum(iif(model = "GX1', 1, 0)) To produce this: Total This Dept 7 You can place another text box with the source "=count(*)" in the department footer. -Kris |

Try the "Keep Together" property of the group footer section.
