Subject: Weird effects when printing to HP Printers

When we have our default printer set to some of the HP Printers e.g. HP8100,
HP4100, HP4200 we have noticed that our letter sized reports are previewing
strangely - sometimes the orientation is incorrect, or sometimes the data on
the page is squashed up in the top left hand corner - it seems as if the
paper is an enormous sheet and our letter sized output is right at the top -
but then if we re-run the report - its looks correct - its seems it only the
first time its runs it goes wrong.

The reason we found this is because two of our clients reported this but
only on HP printers - I was wondering if its related to HP ZoomSmart ...

Anybody have any similar experiences or any info on this issue ?

Thanks

Mike

Yes, I just solved this problem. It is not an HP problem, because (1) I
don't have ZoomSmart, and (2) it happens on other brands as well (my test was
on our big Xerox).

The problem is that Access doesn't always "play nicely" with graphic
elements. There are two possible solutions: you can either print using a
PostScript driver, or print to a PDF file then print the PDF.

Hope that helps!
