microsoft office standard 2007 setup errors
Try this (it was suggest to another poster with the same problem).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is mostly caused that the current user account doesn't have permission on the Office registry key. Follow the steps below to see if it works. #1 ======== Login as a local administrator account on the computer. Start the Microsoft office 2007 applications (word 2007, excel 2007, powerpoint 2007). If the configuration pops up, wait it to be finished. Logoff and logon your user account. Test the issue. What is the result? If it doesn't work, go to next step. #2 ======= 1. Log on to the computer by using an Administrator user account. 2. Click Start Run type regedit, click OK. 3. Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0 4. Click Permissions. 5. Click Users (Computer_name\Users), and then click to select the Allow check box for the Full Control permission. 6. Click OK, and then quit Registry Editor. 7. Start an Office program. Wait for the configurating finished. Restart the application. What is the result? ***************************************** -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "anamica" wrote in message ... every time I click on outlook/word/excel the configuring microsoft office standard window starts up, then the windows installer, repatedly, till i click cancel, when finally these programs begin to open. what do i do to fix this please? i get a microsoft office bootstrapper error too. |
microsoft office standard 2007 setup errors
Hi,
Thanks, I tried them both. But still the same.... The moment I click on an application, say, Outlook, the configuration starts up, then the windows installer, and only then doe the application open. I just want the application to begin immediately instead of me waiting while it goes through so many routines.
