Default Delete Outlook Express

Unable to delete OE.

I suspect there may be several corrupt files in OE and I would like to
delete OE and upload a new copy.

How is it possible to delete OE from my computer?

OE is part of IE:

To reinstall IE6 and OE:

Method 2 says it's for XP, but it works for all Window operating
systems except W95.

If you want delete any default OE files and have new, clean ones:

ToolsOptionsMaintenanceStore folder will reveal the location
of your Outlook Express files. You can copy the location and
paste it into StartRun and click OK to open the folder, or navigate
to it in Windows Explorer.

In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders under StartControl PanelFolder
OptionsView.

With OE closed, follow the path to the DBX file for the folder in
question {.dbx} and delete it. A new one will be created
automatically
when you open OE.

Do not archive mail on default OE folders. They will eventually
become corrupted. Create your own user defined folders for storing
mail.

After you are done, follow up by compacting your folders manually
while working *offline* and do it often.

FileWork Offline (or double click Working Online in the Status Bar).
FileFolderCompact all folders.

In ToolsOptionsMaintenance: Uncheck Compact messages in background
and leave it unchecked.
