Default Outlook changes settings when it is closed

I am using outlook 2003 with pop3 account. I have configured pop3 to keep
messages on server because I access same e-mail account from different
computer . However, on one of my computers OUtlook can not remeber the
setting to keep a copy of the messages on the server. The setting is changed
back to the default setting every time Outlook has been closed.
What can cause this ?
Does anyone know how to ix this ?
