Default File opening

When I open my Exel files , a note apears on the bottom
bar stating "virus scan requested" and it takes a lonf
time, almost a minute, to open the file. I have Norton
AntiVirus. but it happens eaven when I disable it.

In Excel, go to tools options Security, Macro security, see what it is set on
and if it states there is an AV installed
