how do I reformat a mac formatted disc to a microsoft format?

Funny you should ask because my husband and I don't seem to agree on this. I
never format CDs. I just take them off the spindle and pop my data onto it.
He formats them first - no clue why.

Default reformat a mac disc to micrsoft format


Go to My computer, right click on the drive you want to format and
select FORMAT. Let Windows do the rest. Please don't select C- Drive
as it is the default OS drive.

Given the low price of CDs, it hardly seems worthwhile re-using
them. I know there is a method produced by the Nero people
called IN-CD (I even have it on my system disc) that lets you
use the CD like a big floppy but the formatting is tediously
long, IMHO.

Exactly. I bought a spindle of 100 disks several years (5?) ago. I have
about 30 left. I may use 1 every other month.

I used a whole bunch of them in one shot about two years ago making some
back up disks. My current usage is about one a month. But your math is
otherwise correct. :-)
