Default Developing a plugin for Outlook Express

I would like to develop a plugin for Outlook Express that sends the content
of a mail message to a software application. I cannot find any documentation
whatsoever detailing how to get started. I believe that OE (latest version)
should be extendable with a COM object addon. Can anyone suggest where I can
find more information on doing this.

If I can't find this information I will be forced to download and install
Eudora since it has a filter that automatically does this operation.

There is no API for OE. Never has been, never will. And any
documentation is sketchy at best.

What add-ons have been developed were created by a lot of trial and
error and digging around.

If you are doing this just for yourself, then Eudora would be a lot
simpler.

If you are planning this as an add-on for others, you should be aware
that OE is a dead product. Windows XP is the last operating system that
will ever run it.

Thank you sir, I will then be using Eudora. This was just going to be a
project for my own benefit. I need a mail program to automatically process
emails for me and funnel them into some software that I am going to write.
It is for my internet company http://www.quickbiblesoftware.com in case you
are interested in trying it out.
